This needs to be said.......This has happened before....twice so far...one was a democrat...and nothing happened to him...he finished his career in 1996 when he retired...the other was a Republican....he lost his office.....can you see why Foley Resigned? He wasn't Democrat......The Liberal media, the Democrats in office, need to check out what is happening and stop trying to get political gain out of it. Sure, you could do it....but it will and I mean WILL come back to bite you in the butts if you do. Mark my words...it will happen. Do the right thing for once you Democrats......

Foley.....things about this are (and I mean are) going to get out of hand. There is only one thing that needs to be said on the subject. If he is guilty of this, he needs to pay the consequences of it. Not the ones that the Democrats for years have been saying are too harsh to be dealt out...but the ones that the law says should be dealt out!

I don't really care if the man is a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or a mole coming out of the ground. What he did was wrong. Now don't take me wrong here. I am not saying the Republicans are wrong for this...I am saying that the man is wrong. That doesn't make Republicans wrong because of him, just like the Democrats were not wrong because of Clinton. Just like the Roman Catholic Church is not wrong, because people are saying the Pope is wrong. No matter what anyone says about this...the people are the ones wrong....not the organizations they belong too.


You all have to remember this, before it all gets out of hand like this whole thing with the Pope has.


This thing about what Foley did is wrong. Foley was, and is wrong for this. I don't think that the Republican party is wrong because of it, I actually think that they are right. This country needs the Repubicans right now, a damn sight more than they need the crap the the Democrats will give to us if they are re-elected into power.


But if Foley did this, then he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Not the Republican party....Foley.


People get this straight. You have gone to far into the weird realm of PC correctness. It is not right, and shouldn't be used as a guide to deal with this. Start using some common sense here for once...and stop doing the crap that always happens when something goes wrong. Own up to the fact that the fault is only where it really lies.

Sorry, just my opinion...but it is well thought out with Common Sense. Remember Common Sense? It is a great thing that has been totally abandoned by the Left of this country. It needs to be brought back. Try it, you'll like it. I promise.

Can you imagine this kind of protest going on while our parents were around? This whole country should be ashamed that we allow judges to overturn laws that would prevent this kind of depravity.

This photo was taken, as Protestors squared off at a Kentucky soldiers funeral for the first time since a Judge suspended the law prohibiting this type of stupid behavior. To be stupid enough to hold up signs saying things like the above is blasphemous and really out of the realm of right. The story from FoxNews follows:

The family of Sgt. 1st Class Charles Jason Jones had invited a half-dozen groups to wave full-size American flags, express their support of U.S. soldiers and honor Jones after hearing about the church's plans to protest the funeral, according to military officials.

Now I don't know about you people, but I think that is not only a disgrace to our Military, who are out there fighting for these stupid peoples rights to do this crap, but it is also a disgrace to our country. And I lay the blame for all of this stupidity at the doorstep of the Democratic Party. Well, not all of it...but about 90% of it because they are the ones who have caused our country to move away from the consequences of actions that should be there. I blame the Republicans for letting it happen in the first place.


We all wonder what is happening to our country, and our youth, because everyone seems to be getting more and more violent all the time, what with school shootings and murders everywhere, but the answer is simple. The Democrats have, for years and years, been taking the bite out of our laws, saying that they were unfair for the people who had to suffer them. They in doing that, have taken away any real consequences for anything that they have done. So there is nothing that will keep them from doing the bad deeds that they are doing because there are no real consequences.

More than 200 mourners, including Gov. Ernie Fletcher, filled the chapel to pay tribute to the 29 year old Kentucky National Guardsman, who was found dead in his quarters in Iraq on September 20 from causes not related to combat. The military is investigating the death.


Little was said of the demonstration during the funeral, though the Rev. Charles Taylor told mourners that the presence of the Westboro protesters was "a dishonor."

Now, I have to say this, that the reason these jerks can get away with protesting at a funeral is because there seems to be no concept anymore, of right and wrong. The world we live in is running completely upside down and things are getting worse and worse all the time. No one anymore seems to know that the right things are the things to do. And something has to be done about it. And soon.

"I feel sorry for them," he said, adding, "I appreciate the folks holding the flags."


Last week, U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell wrote that the state law could not restrict the free speech rights of people in nearby homes, sidewalks and streets, even if they cannot be seen or heard by funeral participants.


The law, passed this year, was aimed at members of the Kansas church, which claims the soldiers deaths are a sign of God punishing America for tolerating homosexuality.

Now I don't agree with homosexuality, as it is not my choice of lifestyle, and on top of that, the bible does not condone it. But there has to be some other way to protest that, other than at a funeral commemorating a fallen hero, no matter how he or she fell!


Hopefully, this will continue as a right for us to say, but I am beginning to have my doubts......

I was going to write this entry, and something came up, as a comment to my site, saying that they would like to hear some of my thoughts, on what I have been posting, because they say they everything I have put, they have heard a thousand of times before, from so many sources. Well, that is a good thing....at least the stuff I am saying is getting out. Something, that a few years ago, wasn't, because the Liberals were cementing it all down so nothing got out. So, it is a good thing that things I have said has been heard, and it does my heart good. As for saying things that I believe, even in those posts where I quote other people, I always put my thoughts in there, if you read them. So here is my post for this Sunday, September 24th, 2006!.........



Osama Bin Ladin has been striking fear into the free world, with no consequences, telling us, that this is all our fault. And now if we are lucky, reports of him dying in Pakistan of Typhoid is a great thing. If he died that way, it wasn't pleasant. We can always hope. And if he did, Oh The Justice!

Hugo (fatman) Chavez, ruling his country and telling his poorest citizens, that their plight is Bush's fault, not theirs and definitely not his, (liar that he is). May he burn in Hell for the lies he tells his poor people. He should do something about their plight, instead of blaming someone who has NOTHING to do about it.

Ahmadinejad, coming over to the UN (here on US soil), and telling the UN that Bush is evil, and the devil, and that he could still "smell sulfer in the air" and getting away with it, is insane. Whatever happened to the America that would stand up to evil, and not buckle under to it?

This all is wrong in so many ways. Just try to go to Mexico and do the same thing Chavez did here, and you may face a firing squad and never come back home, alive anyway!

Try going over to Iran and tell the Iranian people their president is Evil and everything is his fault, and you may get away with it until the President gets wind of it, and then most likely, you will be summarily executed as a show of force to keep it from happening again.

We here in America, do not think in these terms, but maybe we should. A good example of things we need to change and soon, are these, starting with a quote from a past enemy:

"America is like a healthy body, and it's resistance is threefold: It's Patriotism, it's morality, and it's Spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." Now in case you don't know this, this famous quote was said by our old ememy Joseph Stalin. Now if that don't scare you, let me tell you what our Liberals in government have been up to for the last 50 or 60 years. Do you realize how many of these three things the Liberals and the ALCU have been working hard to get rid of in America during this timespan? They have worked on getting rid of all of them. We can take them one at a time if you wish......

Religion has been given a back seat in America by the ALCU and the Liberals by doing the following things. [Now on all these things I blame the Liberals because during this time, they were the Majority Party. They Instigated all of it.]

1. Taking prayer out of our schools. It is now an offence to bring up the name of Jesus in our schools. If we can't invoke the name of our Savior and ask for his blessings, then if you think about it, no wonder we were attacked on September 11, 2001! (I remember praying in school, and it didn't hurt any of us!)

2. The Ten Commandments are hard to find posted in front of Courthouses anymore because of the ALCU, and the Liberals in our government went along with that, as it might offend one or two athiests out there! As in the listing of number one, if we take God out of our everyday life, how oh how can we expect to be blessed by Him? (I remember seeing the 10 Commandments in front of Courthouses and Post Offices, and the people around it didn't care if they were there or not.)

These next ones are working on the Patriotism angle:

3. The Pledge of Allegiance has also been taken out of our schools, because it was a Patriotic thing to do, and also because it invoked the Name of God in it. The ACLU also tried to get that part "one nation, under God" taken out, and for a while I think they succeeded.
(I remember saying the Pledge of Allegiance in the mornings at the beginning of Grade School classes, and no one was offended, and it even included the part "under God"!) How many children today can even remember what the Pledge of Allegiance even says?

4. I remember an American Flag in every classroom. No one was up in arms about it. No one wanted it taken down because of what they believed. Back then, we all lived in America and we were proud of that. Then the ACLU and the Liberals changed all that.

This next one works on the Morality issue:

5. Then along came Abortion Rights. No where in the Constitution is the stance that it is the right of every mother to abort her child. No Where! People, you all say the Constitution is a Living Document. I have to disagree with you. It isn't. It is a great Document, but a dead one. A Living Document is something that the words of it, don't mean anything because it can be changed at the whim of anyone who don't want it to say what it does. The Constitution is supposed to be a guideline for the rule of law in this country...it can be amended but not changed. The Liberals have effectively made it a living document so they can change laws when they feel one is too hard to follow....*like Immigration and abortion.* It is NOT the right of every mother to abort her baby if she so pleases. That goes against God and all His rules and no matter what the Liberals say about it, God has the final say!

When it comes to our schools, the Liberals and the ACLU have effectively taken all the good out of our schools, while bombarding our citizens with the lies that our schools are the best in the world! Actually they are not.

The Truth is NOT being taught in our schools anymore. You can see evidences of that in the nightly news. We hear of College professors all the time professing Communistic Ideals and forcing their political views on our children.

History is NOT taught as it happened anymore. Ask most kids now days who Hitler was and what he did that was so terrible......and you may get a vague answer....but none with any detail on it, cause they probably don't know. And now we have that stupid President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad trying to make people believe that the Holocaust never happened and the Nazi Machine of Germany never happened. Heaven help us if he succeeds in rewriting history again....like the Liberals have been doing for the last 50 years! We have to keep those lessons taught in history alive for all to know. Because if we don't remember our history, we are doomed to repeat it.

During the Vietnam war our patriotism was at an all time low. Thankfully for the majority of us, that still exists here in America.

I believe that in this country, the enemy will be hard pressed to beat us, if they get in here and start fighting against the Average American. We are not like the panty waste Politicians and Liberals who have no backbone for everything and show the world just that.

You want to save America? I have to say your time is running out. And the Liberals are happy about that.....Are you? I know that I am NOT! Charlie Daniels said it right in his latest post on his Soapbox when he said, "I can see why you think America is a weak race, if you judge us by our Media, or what our Politicians have to say, but I've got a rude awakening for you. That ain't America."

We can all hope, that in this coming election, that we the American people, show our politicians that we mean business. That they are there to represent us....not take laws and freedoms away from us. We believe in God, We believe in America....and we will be free.

House Approves Voter ID Act

In a vote of 228 to 196, the House approved a bill that requires Americans to provide proof of citizenship in order to vote. Democrats, of course, called the bill a Republican effort at "voter suppression." They don't want to mention that it only suppresses those that are not eligible to vote in the first place.

Perhaps that Dems fear that if illegals are effectively prevented from voting, they'll lose critical votes. Too damned bad.

It seems that the Democrats are always looking for loopholes to broaden their voter base....and usually none of them are legal. To the Democrats, all they have to do is make little changes in the laws, until they get the desired effect, and then they have their way. Take Illegal Immigration for example.....

Back when I was growing up, people who came across the border illegally were caught, and sent back, and they couldn't get work here, except illegally, and back then, most companies wanted nothing to do with that. Little by little, the laws were changed till we had what happened last summer when the Illegals were demanding rights, that they had no right to demand....and the democrats were saying that it would be wrong to send them back since some of them had been here so long.

People...let me clear this up for you. Illegal is Illegal! If the first thing you do, when you come to this country is illegal, then you are a criminal...no matter how good a person you are, you still broke the law, and you are a criminal...and should be subject to the consequences of breaking that law. It does NOT give you rights....it does NOT give you the right to get Social Security....it does NOT give you the right to a job.....it does NOT give you the right to schooling for your children. It doesn't give you anything but a criminal record. The system is NOT broken! All you democrats, and republicans have to do, is start enforcing the laws that are already there, and you will find out that you will no longer be at odds with your voting block, and you will also quickly find out that the laws (as I have said so many times before) ARE NOT BROKEN!

Sheesh people, how often do you have to be told this? How often do the citizens of the United States have to tell their representatives that this is so, and needs to be enforced! I am beginning to think, that both parties have to be voted out of office, and a new party be brought in that WILL ENFORCE THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES!

And on to another subject! This one really frosts me to no end. Where do these dictators Hugi Chavezzz and Gilligan looking Ahmadinejad get off coming to our country and telling us that our President is evil and is mentally unstable? I need to point out the fact that Bush is not the one who is backing Terrorists and people who want to wipe Israel off the map and he is definitely not backing someone who thinks that History has to be rewritten because there were things that happened that they wish hadn't. You guys are nothing more than two buckets of crap that needs to be flushed down the proverbial toilet! Neither one of you have any common sense to do the jobs that you think you hold, and the only brains you have is to know a situation where you can get your dumbassed faces in the news. I know that I am getting tired of seeing the fat slob Chavez, and the Skinny Gilligan Ahmadinejad! They are nothing more than puppets for Al-Qaeda, and the other terrorists groups around the world that can't do anything but kill innocent people and claim they are doing it for God. God doesn't work that way. When are you going to get it through those thick skulls of yours, that if you profess to be a peaceful religion but all you do is kill innocents, that you are NOT on the side of God, and You are NOT in His favor. You are wrong, just like Al Gore is wrong, John Kerry is wrong, Ted Kennedy is wrong, Dick Durbin is wrong, Nancy Palosi is wrong, and yes...I believe that Bush is wrong too, in that he will not stand up to all of you hypocrites and tell you where to get off. Something that should have been done a long long time ago.

He said that even his children don't like him taking off his glasses anymore cause of his eyes......trouble that started with Sadaam.

Here is what the Liberals, and John McCain are forgetting. Thousands of people were tortured and murdered under Sadaam, and the only things that the Liberals, (and John McCain) seem to see is the false "allegations" of torture at "Club Gitmo" as Rush calls it. When in all actuality the prisoners there are fed well, and treated good. Not what you would expect in a prison. No torture is being executed there. As I have shown before here, Torture is Illegal, and it isn't being instigated by the United States. It IS by Osama Bin Ladin and the Terrorists, but not by us.

The only reason torture was even brought up was because of a speech that President Bush gave where he said that some of the prisoners were being interrogated intensely to get information from them. You people have to realise, that this has to be done, to save the lives of many Americans.

People, even though we do not hold an elected office in government, we actually hold more power than they do, though it seems just the opposite is true.

People like Ted Kennedy and John Kerry seem to be able to say anything they want about the United States, and nothing is written about the torture of people by Sadaam, or the Terrorists, Osama Bin Ladin or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! Can't you people see that these guys mean business? They also take all your lying rhetoric as weakness in the United States. It's your ideas that helped us to lose in Vietnam....and do not think for a minute that the Terrorist cells haven't learned this part of our history. And the Liberals are using the same illogical ideas with the war on Terror....and if we let them continue, we will lose that war too, and then after that happens, the Islamic Radicals will take over Europe next, then it will be on to the United States, and since the Liberals are tying our hands at defending ourselves, they will win then when they come here.

And Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is now part of the problem. He claims that the Holocaust in Nazi Germany is a Myth that never happened...and he will do his best to make sure that his view of the worlds history is rewritten to be like he wants it to be. Just like the Liberals here in the United States has been doing for the Last 50 years!

You people who are the Democrats and the Liberals just don't have to brains to get the idea that we are at war, and the only way for us to get out of it and keep our freedoms is to fight it to the finish, and finish it on OUR terms. There is no other way. And you keep saying that there haven't been more attacks on the United States since 9/11, but hell can't you people think for a moment and figure that maybe Bush has done a good job, and that has kept us from being attacked again? Sure that is the reason but you all think that he isn't doing any good cause there have been over 400 attacks all around the world. Couldn't it be because the know they can't do it here again, so they will do it everywhere else, while threatening to do it again here? You people have got to get your brains in gear. There is no other way.......

Think about it people....the Liberals and John McCain only seem to be worried about the well being and the rights of the Terrorists...but are they concerned about yours? If they are, they are not showing it. The only concern they seem to be showing is for the enemy......NOT YOU. You have to remember, if we are not aggressive here in this war on terror...we will lose, cause EVIL is aggressive, and aggressiveness will always will....

Cause if we don't win this one.....you will no longer be able to freely say things like......

I found two articles, that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Liberals are wrong on this whole thing, and the War between Israel and Hezbollah should NEVER have been stopped. If anything, we should have helped them win......

Just look when this was written....in 1968!

This was written by Eric Hoffer on that year, 34 years ago. You have to read this to see the plight that Israel is in now...and us too:

The war that the UN stopped between Israel and Hezbollah only hurt Israel, but it was almost crucial for us, for Israel to win that. Since we were instrumental in keeping that from happening, then we have consequences that ARE going to hit us. And the Liberals are the ones who will not believe this....but wait till it happens, they will be the ones to say..."what happened? Why didn't the republicans do anything?"

The Democrats, in their minds are never wrong. And in the event that they are, (which is most of the time) they turn the blame to anyone else around...cause in their minds they are NEVER wrong. But I am here to let them know that they are almost always wrong.

But that was only the first story that I have here to press my point on your idiotic liberal ideas. Here is the second, written by a Vietnam Vet, named J.D. Pendry, who is a retired Army Command Sergeant Major, who writes for Random House and is copywrited J.D. Pendry 2006.

This is pretty strong stuff. It represents one way to look at the people who are involved in opposing the current war and is also critical of GWB in a way that I too find fault with him. Enough fault
for everyone. When I was still on the battlefield, anchored at Nha Be, directly alongside the Rung Sat Special Zone, Congress voted to cut the funding for us folks fighting the war I was in. We had no one at home to watch our back. Same now. The guys on the line are doing their job fighting the enemy outwardly, our President needs to lead the charge fighting those who would undermine our troops by fighting them inwardly. No one did that for us, and you know the bitterness i feel about that.

JOHN MURTHA, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win militarily in Iraq. You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof. And said we should redeploy to Okinawa. Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert. Are you sure you didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You're a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You're not a Marine, sir. You wouldn't amount to a pimple on a real Marine's butt. You're a phoney and a disgrace. Run away John.

DICK DURBIN, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned South East Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraquis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? See Dick run.

TED KENNEDY, for days on end you held poster sized pictures from Abu Grhaib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqis torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news this week Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrate real torture for you again. If you truly supported our troops, you'd show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there. You're a bloated fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington.

Harry Reid, Nancy Palosi, carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Chuck Schumer, et al ad nauseam. Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied. That the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers. That we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers the same ones that tortured and mutilated American soldiers - cause to think that we will run away again and all they have to do is hang on a little longer.

American news media, the New York Times particularly. Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer. You are America's axis of idiots. Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don't ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam. If you want our Soldiers home, as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies. Yes, I'm questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I'm also questiong why you're stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don't deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. you need to urn away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it.

No,Commander in Cheif, you don't get off the hook either. Our country has two enemies: Those who want to destroy us from the outside, and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It's your obligation to support them by confronting the axis of idiots. America must hear it from you that these people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger please, and channel it towar the appropriate target. You must procescute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must procecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now!'

This article was written like I said by J.D. Pendry and is something that almost every American needs to read. We are in danger here, and we need to realize this. Cause if we don't, this country will cease to exist as I have said before, and it will not be in a good way. America....the choice is yours. Become the pawns and slaves of Islamic Extremists? or Stay free Americans. If your answer is to stay Free Americans, then you need to stop the crap that the Liberals are handing us daily, and let them know that they need to stop it too. America IS worth fighting for and to keep our freedoms, we need to fight. To hell with the Cindy Sheehan's of the world, people who are just bitter pariahs of the worst kind. If not, you HAVE to read this......


Below is a real History lesson for all of you who have forgotten or (chose to ignore) the warning signs and hints of what has come before.....If you read it, you will realize why I and others have stressed this so hard over the last few months. It is a scary thing, but needs to be brought to mass knowledge!

For some of the younger folks this is a History lesson. For most of us it was real life!!!!

'Sixty-three years ago, Nazi Germany had overrun almost all of Europe and hammered England to the verge of bankruptcy and defeat, and had sunk more than four hundred British ships in their convoys between England and America for food and war materials.

At that time the U.S. was in an isolationist, pacifist mood, and most Americans wanted nothing to do with the European or the Asian war.

Then along came Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and in outrage Congress unanimously declared war on Japan, and the following day on Germany, which had not yet attacked us. It was a dicey thing. We had few allies.

France was not an ally, as the Vichy government of France quickly aligned itself with its German occupiers. Germany was certainly not an ally, as Hitler was intent on setting up a Thousand Year Reich
in Europe. Japan was not an ally, as it was well on its way to owning and controlling all of Asia. Together, Japan and Germany had long-range plans of invading Canada and Mexico, as launching pads to get into the United States over our northern and southern
borders, after they finished gaining control of Asia and Europe.
America's only allies then were England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Australia, and Russia. That was about it.
All of Europe, from Norway to Italy, except Russia in the east, was already under the Nazi heel.

America was certainly not prepared for war. America had drastically downgraded most of its military forces after WWI and throughout the
depression, so that at the outbreak of WW2, army units were training with broomsticks because they didn't have guns, and cars with "tank" painted on the doors because they didn't have real tanks. And a huge chunk of our navy had just been sunk or damaged at Pearl Harbor.

Britain had already gone bankrupt, saved only by the donation of $600 million in gold bullion in the Bank of England, that was actually the property of Belgium, given by Belgium to England to carry on the war when Belgium was overrun by Hitler (a little known
fact).

Actually, Belgium surrendered in one day, because it was unable to oppose the German invasion, and the Germans bombed Brussels into rubble the next day just to prove they could. Britain had already been holding out for two years in the face of staggering shipping loses and the near-decimation of its air force in the Battle of Britain, and was saved from being overrun by Germany only because Hitler made the mistake of thinking the Brits were a relatively minor threat that could be dealt with later, and first turning his attention to Russia, at a time when England was on the verge of collapse, in the
late summer of 1940.

Ironically, Russia saved America's butt by putting up a desperate fight for two years, until the U.S. got geared up to begin hammering away at Germany.

Russia lost something like 24 million people in the sieges of Stalingrad and Moscow alone... 90% of them from cold and starvation, mostly civilians, but also more than a MILLION soldiers.

Had Russia surrendered, Hitler would have been able to focus his entire war effort against the Brits, then America. And the Nazis could possibly have won the war.

All of this is to illustrate that turning points in history are often dicey things. And now, we find ourselves at another one of those key moments in history.

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world.

The Jihadis, the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs -- they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world. And that all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated. They want to finish the Holocaust, destroy Israel, and purge the world of Jews.
This is their mantra.

There is also a civil war raging in the Middle East -- for the most part not a hot war, but a war of ideas. Islam is having its Inquisition and its Reformation, but it is not known yet which will win
-- the Inquisitors, or the Reformationists.

If the Inquisition wins, then the Wahhabis, the Jihadis, will control the Middle East, the OPEC oil, and the US, European, and Asian economies. The techno-industrial economies will be at the
mercy of OPEC -- not an OPEC dominated by the educated, rational Saudis of today, but an OPEC dominated by the Jihadis.

You want gas in your car? You want heating oil next winter? You want the dollar to be worth anything? You better hope the Jihad, the Muslim Inquisition, loses, and the Islamic Reformation wins.

If the Reformation movement wins, that is, the moderate Muslims who believe that Islam can respect and tolerate other religions, and live in peace with the rest of the world, and move out of the 10th century into the 21st, then the troubles in the Middle East will eventually fade away, and a moderate and prosperous Middle East will emerge.

We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the Inquisition, i.e., the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it
somewhere. And we can't do it everywhere at once. We have created a focal point for the battle at a time and place of our choosing........in Iraq.

Not in New York, not in London, or Paris or Berlin, but in Iraq, where we are doing two important things.

(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly involved in 9/11 or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively supporting the terrorist movement for decades. Saddam is a terrorist.

Saddam is, or was, a weapon of mass destruction, who is responsible for the deaths of probably more than a million Iraqis and two million Iranians.

(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic terrorism in Iraq. We have focused the battle. We are killing bad people, and the ones we get there we won't have to get here.

We also have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq, which will be a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East, and an outpost for a
stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East for as long as it is needed.

World War II, the war with the German and Japanese Nazis, really began with a "whimper" in 1928. It did not begin with Pearl Harbor. It began with the Japanese invasion of China. It was a war for
fourteen years before America joined it. It officially ended in 1945 -- a 17 year war -- and was followed by another decade of U.S. occupation in Germany and Japan to get those countries reconstructed and running on their own
again .. a 27 year war.

World War II cost the United States an amount equal to approximately a full year's GDP -- adjusted for inflation, equal to about $12 trillion dollars. WWII cost America more than 400,000 killed in action, and nearly 100,000 still missing in action.

The Iraq war has, so far, cost the US about $160 billion, which is roughly what 9/11 cost New York. It has also cost about 2,200 American lives, which is roughly 2/3 of the 3,000 lives that the Jihad snuffed out on 9/11. But the cost of not fighting and winning WWII would have been unimaginably greater -- a world dominated by German and Japanese Nazism.

Americans have a short attention span, conditioned by 30 second sound bites, 60 minute TV shows, and 2 hour movies in which everything comes out okay.

The real world is not like that. It is messy, uncertain,and sometimes bloody and ugly. Always has been, and probably always will be.

The bottom line is that we will have to deal with Islamic terrorism until we defeat it, whenever that is. It will not go away if we ignore it.

If the U.S. can create a reasonably democratic and stable Iraq, then we have an "England" in the Middle East, a platform, from which we can work to help modernize and moderate the Middle East.

The history of the world is the clash between the forces of relative civility and civilization, and the barbarians clamoring at the gates. The Iraq war is merely another battle in this ancient and never-ending war. And now, for the first time ever, the barbarians are about to get nuclear weapons. Unless somebody prevents them.

We have four options:

1. We can defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons.

2. We can fight the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which may be as early as next year, if Iran's progress on nuclear weapons is what Iran claims it is).

3. We can surrender to the Jihad and accept its dominance in the Middle East, now, in Europe in the next few years or decades, and ultimately in America.


4. Or, we can stand down now, and pick up the fight later when the Jihad is more widespread and better
armed, perhaps after the Jihad has dominated France and Germany and maybe most of the rest of Europe. It will, of course, be more dangerous, more expensive, and much bloodier.

If you oppose this war, I hope you like the idea that your children, or grandchildren, may live in an Islamic America under the Mullahs and the Sharia, an America that resembles Iran today.

The history of the world is the history of civilizational clashes, cultural clashes. All wars are about ideas, ideas about what society and civilization should be like, and the most determined always win.

Those who are willing to be the most ruthless always win. The pacifists always lose, because the anti-pacifists kill them.

Remember, perspective is everything, and America's schools teach too little (true) history for perspective to be clear, especially in the young American mind.

The Cold war lasted from about 1947 at least until the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. Forty-two years. Europe spent the first half of the 19th century fighting Napoleon, and from 1870 to 1945
fighting Germany.

World War II began in 1928, lasted 17 years, plus a ten year occupation, and the U.S. still has troops in Germany and Japan.
World War II resulted in the death of more than 50 million people, maybe more than 100 million people, depending on which estimates you accept.

The U.S. has taken more than 2,000 KIA in Iraq. The
U.S. took more than 4,000 killed in action on the morning of June 6, 1944, the first day of the Normandy Invasion to rid Europe of Nazi Imperialism.
In WWII the US averaged 2,000 KIA a week -- for four years. Most of the individual battles of WWII lost more Americans than the entire Iraq war has done so far.

But the stakes are at least as high ... A world dominated by representative governments with civil rights, human rights, and personal freedoms ... or a world dominated by a radical Islamic Wahhabi movement, by the Jihad, under
the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law).

It's difficult to understand why the American left does not grasp this. They favor human rights, civil rights, liberty and freedom, but evidently not for Iraqis.

"Peace Activists" always seem to demonstrate here in America, where it's safe.

Why don't we see Peace Activists demonstrating in Iran, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, North Korea, in the places that really need peace activism the most?

The liberal mentality is supposed to favor human rights, civil rights, democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc., but if the Jihad wins, wherever the Jihad wins, it is the end of civil rights, human rights,
democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc. Americans who oppose the liberation of Iraq are coming down on the side of their own worst enemy.
