Tax the Gas Profits????

I wanted to put a picture of Kennedy here...but decided it would be too much work for that idiot. But I swear, the liberals are at it again!!! Now they are saying that the oil companies are making too much money. And the cowardly Republicans are following suit saying that they are afraid because of the gas prices, and are calling for an investigation into price gouging. For crying out loud!!

Now, granted folks, they are making a lot of money, but that is only because they are huge companies. *Hence the liberals going after their profits* But here is the real story on this.....and don't let a liberal tell you different.

The Gas Profits for the big oil companies equals out to about two cents per gallon!! This two cent per gallon profit pays for exploration for new oil, wages and company expenses. Now all of these things are done on a gas profit of two cents per gallon.

Now the government wants to slow their profits down by taxing them. As if they already don't get enough money as it is.

But here is what you may not know. The government gets (through taxes and such) about sixty nine cents per gallon!!! Do you really think they need more? That is sixy seven cents per gallon more than the oil companies are getting!!! Why don't we petition to have the government taxed for their profits here? They are big business! They are making too much money!! They need to be taxed too!!!

Now folks, don't get me wrong. I am not a total advocate of 'big oil', but lets be fair here. Remember fairness people? That is a novel concept of giving people their due when they try, and succeed.

The problem with that is, the Liberals don't like people and companies that succeed. Cause if they succeed, they can't be victims, and the Democratic party thrives on victims.....and a future voting block.

Now this information, in case your interested, I got from the Glenn Beck program this morning, and when Rush Limbaugh came on he mentioned the amount of money that the government is making from the oil companies too.

The other thing that the Liberals and some Conservatives too aren't saying much about. The United States hasn't made a single oil refinery in over thirty years! That's 30 for you illiterates. We have been producing 'over' capacity for many of those years. We really need to start making new refineries.....but the Liberals always vote against them.

We have several reserves of oil, in Colorado, and Wyoming, and also in Alaska that are bigger than the oil fields in IRAQ. But when it comes to drilling.....the libs vote against that too.....and have since the 70's. No wonder the middle east has us by the hurtful places!!!

The people who I feel are to blame are the same list of vagrants that I always list. Kennedy, Schumer, Kerry, Gore, Dean, and the list of them all, but right now, I also blame the Republicans for not doing anything. They have the majority in both houses, and have the white house...but still they act like they are in the minority.

We need to start drilling on our oil reserves, we need to build new refineries, even though it takes years to complete one. We need to develop new alternative forms of fuel.

How about Nuclear Power? Three mile Island proved that the system works. Warnings and the proper steps shut it down before radioactivity was released, and before a meltdown. The system worked.

How about Solar power? Oh, that's right. You can't tax sunshine. Government won't go for that. But even so, that is a good option.

Hydrogen power? Don't hear much about that but I heard somewhere, Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity that Hydrogen Powered cars are being tested.

We have no one to blame but ourselves for the high price of gas. We said and did nothing when gas prices started shooting up. And the ones making the profits here are the foreign companies shipping in the oil, and the U.S. Government. So stop complaining! Do something about it. Let your government officials know what you want. Stop letting them screw us for their profit! Stop letting Liberals and some Conservatives tell us the gas companies are making all the profit. Cause they are not!
